Welcome to the first issue of Lake Christian Church's Good NEWS. A monthly e-newsletter designed to keep you informed and involved at LCC. Not only that, it is intended to inspire you to connect your passion to ministry.
The objectives of Lake Christian Church's ministry:
- To equip people to NAVIGATE a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ.
- To equip people to ENGAGE in the process of spiritual growth.
- To equip people to WORSHIP God in an inspiring way.
- To equip people to SERVE the world in the name of Jesus.
We aren't a "maintenance church." We're a "mission church" focused on reaching people with the Good News about Jesus Christ. This is a challenging task! Surveys show that 95% of church members never bring anyone to Christ outside of members from their immediate family. Pray that God will work in you to be his witness.

NAVIGATE
|
 Life is a journey where you'll often experience rough water along the way. At Lake Christian Church, we want to help you navigate your life voyage successfully by introducing you to Jesus. In addition, we want to introduce you to his Body--the church.
Unfortunately, churches often don't live up to our expectations! Because the local church is comprised mostly of volunteers, it is easy to create an atmosphere and attitude of low-expectations. Such an environment is the norm in too many churches. Why do we hear very little, if anything, about what is expected of us as a Christian?
We really do try to create a culture of high-expectations at LCC. Join us this Sunday at 10:30a and learn what God expects of you.

ENAGAGE
|
 Everybody longs to connect with others in deep, meaningful relationships. We offer a variety of entry points to help you engage in positive, affirming friendships. The best way to get engaged at LCC is through our holistic small groups ministry (for adults) and our youth ministry (for children/teens).
We offer a variety of small groups throughout the week. Each group focuses on studying the Bible, supporting one another, and serving the community. Visit Lake Christian Church's website to learn more about each small group opportunity:
When it comes to the youth ministry, preschoolers and elementary age children enjoy the excitement of KIDMO on Sunday mornings at 10:30a. It is a high-energy program designed to teach kids life lessons from God's Word--the Bible.

- July 18--A Balanced Mission
- July 25--A Balanced Ministry
We continue our search for a Worship Minister. Pray for the Search Committee as they review resumes and contact promising applicants. It is a difficult, time consuming task to find the right person for this important area of ministry.

| SERVE |
The people of Lake Christian Church are servants! It is amazing to see how many people from this church serve the community. People serve by:
Transporting non-drivers to/from doctor appointments
Cooking meals for the sick and recently hospitalized
Volunteering as scout leaders Coaching an 8th-grade baseball team Building a ramp for a wheelchair bound teenager The list could go on-and-on! Thanks LCC for your servant's heart. 1 Peter 4:10-- Each on should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administrating God's grace in its various forms.
